LEAD OPERATIONS MANAGER

Smethwick Church Action Network is here to serve people in time of crisis, meeting immediate needs for food and offering hope by enabling people to transition from a place of need to a place of opportunity, hope and self-sufficiency. We run a very busy Foodbank and Pantry, supported by an amazing team of volunteers.
We are looking for a ‘hands on’ Lead Operations Manager to lead and develop the charity, the various projects, its employees and volunteers.
The Lead Operations Manager must have history of excellent project management, people development skills, capable to manage all aspects of financial management, along with a good knowledge of health and safety and competent to manage all aspects of safeguarding.
The ideal candidate, whatever their background, will have a passion for the Charity’s aims and for the values of love, compassion, integrity and justice that are fundamental to the Christian faith. Alongside this, they will have excellent communication skills enabling conversations with clients, staff, local churches, and funding bodies to drive the project forward.
The Lead Operations Manager will be based at Holy Trinity Church in Smethwick. The role is 20 hours per week to include both a Tuesday and Friday. Other working hours are flexible but must worked during core times, in line with the needs of the Charity. Hours would be agreed at job offer stage.
Salary: £19,864.00 per annum (equivalent to £37,245.00/37.5 hours per week)
